This Is MeGiving You the Tools and Confidence to Access Your Core Desires
It was a rainy day in April when I stepped into the yoga shala and began my journey. I had no clear understanding of what I was doing there. All I knew is that I had just left an unfulfilling corporate job, had a newborn at home, and wanted peace. I’d been practicing yoga for ten years and even meditated through my child’s unmedicated birth, but had not yet taken my practice very seriously. I signed up for yoga teacher training on nothing more than a visceral knowing that it’s what I had to do.
I believe we all share a need to be respected, strong, and of service to the world. Prior to my yoga studies, I had a sense that I wanted to embody those qualities, but had no idea how to acquire them, so I was perpetually unsatisfied. Yoga and meditation helped me define my core desires and turn my life into a reflection of those inner yearnings.
Now, I hope to teach those tools to you. I recognize that not everyone is able, or even wants to, attend an intense yoga and meditation training. But I believe you can still learn and access the lessons in a way that make sense for you and your life.

Kristen is versatile. She sees what the class needs and adapts her teaching. I also like that she personalizes each session. She give us different pose possibilities and allows us to decide how far we can go. I also love that she comes around and makes adjustments to our bodies while in poses. It gives me confidence to know that I am in the right position.Vanessa Ruiz
